Guidelines
Grants are made from Cubs Care in response to applications from organizations serving the following people or addressing the Primary Interests detailed below.
Primary Interests
Lake View Community
- Neighborhood based charitable nonprofit organizations and public parks
Additionally, Cubs Care initiates its own programs in the following areas:
Children
Domestic Violence
- Programs benefiting victims of domestic violence
Youth Sports
- Rookie league baseball programs
Geographic Priority
Metropolitan Chicago.
Application Procedures
All requests for support require a completed application form to be received at the address listed above.
Applications will be considered in the order in which they are received. The Foundation's Board of Directors meets quarterly and grants are authorized at those meetings and distributed shortly thereafter.
There is no guarantee of annual support. Also, generally, grantees will not receive more than three consecutive annual grants.
The McCormick Foundation does not make grants to programs that would financially benefit Tribune Company or any of its subsidiaries.
