The Fox 61 Family Fund is not accepting grant applications at this time.

Mission
The Fox 61 Family Fund is dedicated to supporting programs that will have a long-term, positive impact on children and youth and that strengthen Connecticut's families.

Guidelines
Grants are made in response to applications from 501 (c)(3) organizations addressing the priority program interests detailed in the Primary Interests section.

Primary Interests
Education
  • Adult and child literacy programs
  • Educational programs for children 0 to 18 years old, operated independently of schools
  • Teen pregnancy prevention, drug and alcohol prevention and other community educational and/or mentoring programs

Family Health
  • Child and family health programs, immunization programs
  • Child care and programs that strengthen or support the family structure
  • Nutritional and parenting programs

Child and Spousal Abuse
  • Abuse prevention, intervention, and educational programs

Application Procedures
Applications will be considered throughout the year and will be funded at regular intervals.

Three complete copies of the application and supporting materials must be submitted. Organizations must use the application form provided -- similar versions created on the computer are not accepted.

There is no guarantee of annual support and generally grantees may not receive more than three consecutive grants. All requests for support require a completed application form to be received at the address listed above.

The Fox 61 Family Fund supports requests for innovative programs or projects. The Fund typically does not make capital grants. Requests for general operating expenses to cover administrative costs are not encouraged.

The Robert R. McCormick Foundation does not make grants to programs that would financially benefit the Tribune Company or any of its subsidiaries.
