Guidelines
Grants are made from the Post-News Charities Fund in response to applications with 501(c)(3) status from organizations serving the people or addressing the priority program interests detailed in the Primary Interests section.

Primary Interests
Children: Early Intervention, Child Care (age 0-8)

Literacy: Basic Skills

Youth: Recreation

Geographic Priority
Primary: Metropolitan Denver

Application Procedures
All requests for support require a completed application form to be received at the address listed above. To request an application, please provide a letter of intent of no more than two pages that outlines your organization's mission and/or programs and how this mission and/or programs fit with Post-News Charities' guidelines. This letter should be on the organization's letterhead. Please also provide a copy of the organization's most recent audit or 990.

Applications will be considered in the order in which they are received. The Foundation's board of directors meets quarterly and grants are authorized at these meetings and distributed shortly thereafter.

There is no guarantee of annual support.

The McCormick Foundation does not make grants to programs that would financially benefit The Denver Post, Rocky Mountain News, the Denver Newspaper Agency or any of its subsidiaries.
