Mission

Create an informed, news-literate and engaged citizenry through quality content, audience education and protection of press freedoms.

Our Approach

We believe a strong and free news media providing citizens with the information they need to make reasoned decisions is critical to a healthy democracy.  In support of this objective we focus on three key areas:

  • Invest in the development of relevant, quality news content to ensure citizens have access to quality news.
  • Educate audiences to understand and appreciate the value of news, including underserved communities.
  • Protect press freedoms and public access to information.
