MF Ethnic Media Conference

The McCormick Foundation’s Journalism Program hosted a June 2008 conference in Chicago for Ethnic Media leaders. “McCormick Ethnic Media Conference: Strategies for Growing the Sector” gathered some 30 leaders to share projects, explore potential collaborations and discuss successes and challenges.

MF also commissioned a report on the state of the ethnic media, “The Health of the Ethnic Media: Needs and Opportunities – Mission Driven News, From the Ground Up.” The research was conducted by the Center for Integration and Improvement of Journalism at San Francisco State University.
