Perspectives of the Tet Offensive
Vietnam Veterans to Speak at First Division Museum on Their Experiences

— James H. Willbanks, historian and author of The Tet Offensive: A Concise History, Major General (Ret) Neal Creighton, Lieutenant General (Ret) Dave Grange, and Scott Forsythe will share their experiences of the Tet Offensive and perspectives on the attacks. Jim Willbanks is director, Department of Military History, U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. He is a retired Lieutenant Colonel with 23 years service as an infantry officer in various assignments, including a tour as an advisor in Vietnam. Major General Neal Creighton proved his combat leadership and physical courage as commander of the 3rd Squadron, 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment, in seven battles during the Tet Offensive of 1968 and later commanded the 1st Infantry Division (Mechanized). Scott Forysthe was a communications intelligence analyst with the 337th Radio Research Company during the Tet Offensive, which was attached to the 1st Infantry Division and stationed at Di An, where the division support command was based. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Tet Offensive.
