Cantigny Raises “Toast of the Prairie” on August 25
WHEATON, IL, August 13, 2009
Cantigny Park, part of the McCormick Foundation, welcomes beer connoisseurs on Tuesday, August 25, for “Toast of the Prairie.” The tasting event, beginning at 6:30 pm, will feature the products of Two Brothers Brewing Company in Warrenville, Illinois.
The gathering site at Cantigny will be Reflection Point, a peaceful spot overlooking a three-acre native prairie. Bob Waterman, director of horticulture, will deliver brief remarks about the prairie and its creation in 2006. Two Brothers will then discuss the art of beermaking and begin pouring samples of its five year-round offerings. Appropriately, one of the hand-crafted brews is
Prairie Path Golden Ale.
Guest will also enjoy
Domaine DuPage French Country Ale, The Bitter End Pale Ale, Ebel's Weiss German Style Hefeweizen and
Cane & Ebel Red Rye Ale.
Two Brothers is a family-owned and operated microbrewery and brewpub founded in 1996. The company is strongly committed to using locally sourced and organic ingredients whenever possible. More information about the company and its award-winning artisan beers is online at

Advance registration for “Toast of the Prairie” is requested at 630 260 8162. The event is limited to 60 guests, who will meet at the Cantigny Visitors Center before heading out to the prairie. Cost is $25 per person, which covers beer samples, snacks and two tickets redeemable for full-size beers. Parking for attendees is free.
