Cantigny Toy Soldier Show on November 8
WHEATON, IL, October 22, 2009
Cantigny Park’s annual Toy Soldier Show will take place Sunday, November 8, from 9 am to 4 pm. Dealers representing all facets of the hobby will display their products in the Cantigny Visitors Center.
“This is an ideal show for people who are curious about toy soldiers and those just getting started,” said Nick Albanese, the show’s organizer and one of 17 dealers who will be at Cantigny. “Visitors will see a good cross-section of the hobby, including dealers who make and paint toy soldiers and those who collect them. The variety and scope of the Cantigny show is always very good.”
This will be Cantigny’s 10th Toy Soldier Show. Nearly 1,000 attended the 2008 event.
Show admission is free; parking is $5 per vehicle, or just $2 before 10 am. Toy soldier enthusiasts may also want to visit the First Division Museum at Cantigny, open 10 am to 4 pm (free admission).
Cantigny Park is open every day through October from 7 am to sunset. Hours are 9 am to sunset in November and December. More information and a complete schedule of events are online at
