Democracy: Strengthen the pillars that are essential to a strong democratic society: civic education and engagement; high quality journalism that informs and engages the public; and government institutions and practices accountable to the people.

Education: Build a system of quality early care and education for children birth through third grade in Illinois. Please note: this program does not accept unsolicited applications or inquiries.

Journalism: Create an informed, news-literate and engaged citizenry through quality content, audience education and protection of press freedoms.

Veterans: Create welcoming and inclusive communities for those who served and their families where each is able to reach their maximum potential.
