Anna Laubach

Anna Laubach joined the foundation in 2008 as the Senior Program Officer for Special Initiatives where she oversees projects related to civic engagement, health, human services and arts and culture. Anna brings over eight years of philanthropic experience, most recently at Illinois Children’s Healthcare Foundation where she coordinated the grantmaking process for the foundation and managed a portfolio of projects focused on children’s access to healthcare, mental health, and oral health services. Previous to that she was a senior program officer with McCormick Foundation in the Communities Program where she oversaw projects addressing a variety of social and human service needs across the country. Before coming to philanthropy, Anna worked for ten years as a licensed clinical social worker in a variety of community based settings serving adults, children and families. She has been active in the social service community as a volunteer and advocate for the rights of victims of domestic violence and their children. She currently serves on the board of Chicago Women in Philanthropy, is an active volunteer impact panel member with United Way of Metropolitan Chicago and is the outgoing co-chair of Health Affinity Group of Donors Forum. Anna received her master’s degree in social work from the University of Michigan and her bachelor’s degree in history from Rice University. She lives in Oak Park with her son.

T.J. Houlihan has been with the McCormick Foundation since 2005. Currently, he works directly with the Senior Vice President of Philanthropy on special philanthropic projects for the Foundation, but his main responsibilities are with the Special Initiatives Program where he focuses on the cultivation and stewardship of the arts and culture requests and oversees a portfolio of current grants. Prior to joining the Foundation, T.J. worked in fundraising at several nonprofit organizations, including Cube Contemporary Chamber Ensemble, Family Matters and Lyric Opera of Chicago.

T.J. is very active in philanthropy outside of the Foundation, where in addition to sitting on the Ravinia Festival Associates Board and the AIDS Foundation of Chicago Junior Board, he also volunteers extensively at other nonprofits in the Chicago area. He is also a member of the Donors Forum Peer Network for New Grantmakers, Funding LGBT Issues Group, the Arts & Culture Funders Group, and the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network. He studied vocal performance at the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University for his undergraduate, and is an avid sacred choral and early music fan and performer. He presently resides in the Buena Park neighborhood of Chicago.
