Chicago White Sox Community Fund

The Chicago White Sox Community Fund, a fund of the Robert R. McCormick Foundation, is committed to helping underserved Chicago at risk youth by funding nonprofit organizations in Chicago.

History

Since 2009, more than $8.5 million in grants has been distributed through the Chicago White Sox Community Fund, a McCormick Foundation Fund, improving the lives of those in need and transforming the community.

Issue Areas

McCormick Match

The McCormick Foundation matches all donations to the Chicago White Sox Community Fund at fifty cents on the dollar. With the Chicago White Sox and the Foundation paying all campaign and administrative expenses, one hundred percent of all donations, plus the match is granted to qualified nonprofit organizations.

The McCormick Foundation does not make grants to programs that would financially benefit the Chicago White Sox.
