Partnership Focus
Since 1990, more than $28 million has been granted through the Cubs Charities Community Fund (formerly known as Cubs Care), making a positive impact in the lives of thousands of children and families every year.
The Cubs Charities Community Fund supports organizations addressing the following issues:
- Sports-Based Youth Development, including organizations focused on social emotional learning and safe places to play
- Education, particularly those supporting key educational transition stages, college and career readiness, and persistence in post-secondary education
- Health & Wellness, including organizations addressing food insecurity in Chicago communities

McCormick Match
The McCormick Foundation matches funds raised at 50 cents on the dollar. We pay all campaign and administrative expenses, so one hundred percent of all donations, plus the match is granted to qualified nonprofit organizations.

New Life Centers of Chicagoland
Pan de Vida, which fed over 2.5 million people throughout the pandemic, is a food distribution center in Little Village with pop-up distribution sites around the city.

Urban Initiatives believes that play matters, and we can strengthen Chicago’s future with a foundation of social-emotional learning by building an enduring team of youth, coaches, families, schools, and communities.

The McCormick Foundation matches all donations at 50% and covers all administration fees, so your entire donation, plus the match will be granted to qualified nonprofit organizations that fit the Cubs Charities Community Fund’s Issue Areas:

The McCormick Foundation does not make grants to programs that would financially benefit the Chicago Cubs.
