A Better Chicago

A Better Chicago’s mission is to build a more equitable city for young people and future generations.

History

Since 2010, A Better Chicago has worked to improve outcomes for Chicago’s youth. Together with the McCormick Foundation, they focus on accelerating the delivery of a world‐class education to young adults on Chicago’s South and West sides where – despite the strong efforts of students, school leaders, parents, and residents – systemic barriers have prohibited quality learning environments, fulfilling careers, and safe neighborhoods.

Issue Areas

Through targeted resources to organizations and leaders working impactfully on the South and West sides will help bridge citywide and neighborhood resources, resulting in a measurable reverse of generations of structural barriers and inequity.
