Cubs Charities Community Fund

The Cubs Charities Community Fund, a McCormick Foundation fund, is committed to improving the lives of underserved youth, adults and families across Chicagoland by providing opportunities allowing them to thrive and succeed.

History

Since 2003, more than $32 million has been granted through the Cubs Charities Community Fund (formerly known as Cubs Care), making a positive impact in the lives of thousands of disadvantaged children and families every year.

Issue Areas

The Cubs Charities Community Fund supports education in

  • 3rd grade reading proficiency
  • Middle-to-High School Transition
  • Access to and persistence in post-secondary education

The Cubs Charities Community Fund supports health & wellness in

  • Community health centers
  • School-based health centers
  • Childhood obesity prevention & treatment

McCormick Match

The McCormick Foundation matches all donations to the Cubs Charities Community Fund at fifty cents on the dollar. With the Chicago Cubs and the Foundation paying all campaign and administrative expenses, one hundred percent of all donations, plus the match is granted to qualified nonprofit organizations.

 

The McCormick Foundation does not make grants to programs that would financially benefit the Chicago Cubs.
