Partnership Focus
Since 1990, more than $16.4 million in grants has been distributed through the Chicago Blackhawks Community Fund, a McCormick Foundation Fund improving the lives of those in need and benefitting communities.
The Chicago Blackhawks Community Fund supports established 501c3 agency-based programs that focus on middle school youth development opportunities in partnerships with schools, post-secondary supports, workforce and personal development for opportunity youth, and Veterans.
McCormick Match
The McCormick Foundation matches funds raised at 50 cents on the dollar. We pay all campaign and administrative expenses, so one hundred percent of all donations, plus the match is granted to qualified nonprofit organizations.

Breakthrough Urban Ministries
The Nettie Bailey Student Achievement Program provides year round, out-of-school-time programming to enable students to meet academic benchmarks and develop as positive young adults.
Embarc Inc.
Embarc is a three-year program for 10th through 12th graders that uses experiential learning to keep students on track for post-secondary success.
Mikva Challenge
Mikva’s Neighborhood Learning Initiative supports the implementation of the youth neighborhood council in North Lawndale. Student participants identify, research, analyze, and formulate solutions to problems in their communities, with a focus on interrupting violence.
NewRoot Learning Institute
NewRoot offers equity-rooted professional learning training, community building and healing spaces. The focus is restorative justice, social emotional learning, and holistic wellness to create school cultures that support student success.

The McCormick Foundation matches all donations at 50% and covers all administration fees, so your entire donation, plus the match will be granted to qualified nonprofit organizations that fit the Chicago Blackhawks Community Fund’s Issue Areas:
- Successful Transition from Middle School to High School
- Successful Transition from High School to College
- Veterans
The McCormick Foundation does not make grants to programs that would financially benefit the Chicago Blackhawks.
