Director, Englewood Portfolio

Mirlene Dossous, Englewood Portfolio Director, has more than 20 years of experience working with community stakeholders for the benefit of families and children. She spent a decade at the Chicago Public Schools, most recently as Director of Community Partnerships, where she led and managed efforts to engage various partners within the city of Chicago. She focused most of her efforts in Chicago’s South and West Side communities (Englewood, Auburn Gresham, and North Lawndale).

Prior to her work at CPS, Mirlene spent six years as a Community Investment Manager with the United Way of Metropolitan Chicago. During her time there, she help to launch the United Way Neighborhood Networks, while also working with a portfolio of organizations across the region to promote community health services. Mirlene holds a Master’s degree in Education from DePaul University.
